Hey everyone,
Back after a long LONG time... Months have rolled into years, and it has been close to 5yrs without any posts...!!! I'm really NOT good at blogging, but back here again. My family and friends have been after me for the last couple of months, and have been urging me to try and blog again, especially because of the prevailing circumstances. To be able to share my present interesting life, and so I'm here again, going to try blogging again...
Needless to say, a lot has happened in these part few year, and hence this post aptly titled as a 'Catch-up' post...
Firstly, let me try and jot down some highlights, of what I can remember and have happened since my last post:
Needless to say, a lot has happened in these part few year, and hence this post aptly titled as a 'Catch-up' post...
Firstly, let me try and jot down some highlights, of what I can remember and have happened since my last post:
- I got married in Dec 2009, to my lovely wife Ancy.
- My little sister Jessy got married in July 2010, to my great BIL Denzil. (BIL = Brother-in-law)
- Nov 2010, we celebrated our first birthdays together as a couple. For those who don't know, Ancy and I almost share the same birth date. Ancy was born a day before my birthday of Nov 23rd (BUT five years later). Yes, her birthday is on Nov 22nd.
- May 2011, Ancy's family visited us in UK and my mom joined us too. Had a great time with family...
- I completed 5 yrs in Cisco TAC in Sept 2011, a great achievement for those who know how stressful a role in Cisco TAC (Technical assistance Center) can be. For me, it wasn't stress, but rather it gave me a great platform to build a strong career in the UC (unified communications) domain.
- Then after a long time in TAC, I finally decided to change roles in Cisco. And in Nov 2011, I moved from a support engineer to a consultant role in the Hosted Communications Advanced Services team.

- Dec 2011, had a wonderful trip to Kerala with all families (My folks, Ancy's folks and Denzil's folks). We chose train as the mode of transport and that added to the great experience.
- Jan 2012, had a amazing trip to Dubai on our way back from India.
- We were contemplating a move to east London since the start of the year and then finally in June 2012, after 7 years in Reading, we finally moved to London. Specifically north east London, Hainault (Ilford).
- July 2012, gave us the biggest shock of our lives. Was diagnosed with AML (Leukemia). Chillax, I survived, and more on this later...
- My wonderful nephew Jordan was born on Nov 7, 2012. Due to ongoing chemotherapy, I wasn't able to be there in India... :(
- After 3 rounds of chemo which lasted till Dec 2012, I resumed work in Feb 2013.
- July 2013, after 6-7 months of remission, AML relapsed. Our lives were shaken again...!
So, I think I've caught up on most things... :) Although few of the last events might sound depressing, I think I have been blessed wonderfully for the last 5 years, and although the last 2 years have been tough, its brought me closer to our Creator. Not just me, my wife Ancy, our parents and all our family and friends have got stronger in our faith.
Now, if you're reading the news of my diagnoses for the first time, then:
1. You really need to get online and connect to people... ;)
2. Don't be upset, but be strong. I'm keeping fit physically, mentally and spiritually.
A mighty miracle is in its making and you can follow everything here. Yes, a non-blogger is starting another separate blog to track and write about the challenges faced and the amazing grace that I have been blessed with. I want to keep a separate blog-book, so I can try and post random thoughts and messages as and when I have them...
So that's it for my catch-up post. Main goals achieved: got you kinda up to date with my life and announced about my new blog (B+) to track my battle with cancer...
