All done... In time for X'mas...

I accept I still have not been able to blog consistently...!!! Its just not happening... Anyways, I'm back for now... Just to tell you about my recent accomplishment...

Well, I'm a CCNP... Hmmm, for those who need to be enlightened about that now... This post is just for that... lol... CCNP = Cisco Certified Network Professional...!!! Comprised of 4 papers detailing with Routing, Switching, Remote Access and Troubleshooting!!!

Its the second level of getting certified with the Cisco titles...!!! Its just like there are Microsoft certifications for software and system admin careers... Cisco certification are mainly for networking d00dz... And yeah, I'm one of them... Not a technical geek... Just a techie! My CCNA (the entry level associate exam/certification) was expiring this January...!!! And if I did not certify myself with a higher level exam before that, I would have to take the CCNA exam again...!!! These certifications are valid only for 3 yrs you see...

Its a vicious line once you're into it... You have to keep re-certifying from time to time...!!! These studies just don't stop man...!!!

Also, the current CCNP exams were gonna change an new syllabus was gonna kick in from Jan 02, 2007... That was another factor for me pushing towards the title and I actually managed to get all the papers done within 1 and 1/2 months...!!! Maybe some record or something!!! hehe... And then apart from all this, there was pressure from the management too to get these certification done...!!!

At the end of the day, its OVER... gave the last paper yesterday and passed...! Just in time for Christmas... Now, got lots of shopping and sleeping to do... lol...

Ok ok, I'm not advertising for Cisco Certifications... But it'll save me time to replying to any queries... lol...

Anyway, I've got through 2 of the 4 papers for CCNP. 2 more to go... The thing is these exams retire this year end and then new syllabus kicks in... So I'm hurrying it up!!! Plus there is pressure from the management too to get it done asap...

Fingers crossed and praying it all gets done in time...!
